He Found His Thumb!

April and I are constantly amazed at what a miracle Lincoln is. He seems to be going through a little bit of a growth spurt...not only physically but also developmentally. While at the doctor's office yesterday for another round of shots, Lincoln was weighed and is now checking in at a hefty 12lbs. 4oz. He's also moving up into all of his 3-6 month clothes. With all of that said, I think you get the picture...Lincoln is a growing boy!

Linc is showing us more and more signs of his development as the days go by. He's getting better at holding his head up...with the exception of the occassional nosedive into our chests. He really likes to kick his legs and is beginning to try and put a little weight on them. He continues to brighten our days as he makes all of his fun baby sounds. April credits this new found talent to my genes but I'm not sure what she means. I'm always so quiet:-) One of the funnest things we noticed recently is that Lincoln is becoming more and more aware of his hands....and most importantly he has learned to suck his thumb!

I know I've probably said this before but we are so thankful for this little gift God has given us. I believe God has shown us a little bit more about who He is by allowing us to be parents. Each day is another chance to be a part of this thing that God is doing as He takes this little miracle of a boy and grows him up into the person that God wants him to be. There's no doubt that it's exciting to take a step back from parenthood...and breathe....and take in the magnitude of what this is really all about. What an adventure!

Happy 5th Anniversary

Today we are celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary! Hard to believe... the time has flown by. Here are a few snapshots to give you a peak at the last five years. It has been a great adventure and we are looking forward to what God has in store for us in the future. We make a pretty good team :-) Thanks to everone who has supported and encouraged us!

Love,

Jeremy & April

A Visit from Nana and Papa

We were so excited to have Jeremy's parents (Ed & Jan) visit from Oregon this past weekend. This was their first trip down since Lincoln was born...so it was great to introduce them to their 11th grandchild!!! (As a side-note, Lincoln is grandbaby number 3 on my side, with baby girl Damante scheduled to make her appearance next month.)

My favorite part about the picture to the right is that you can see Ed & Jan's reflection in the microwave. I wish I had gotten a picture of their faces...but I guess the camera usually follows Lincoln! Lincoln has really been smiling a ton...he loves to be talked to and he's been "talking" back more and more. He has discovered a few new noises and grins from ear to ear when we respond to him. It's such a great phase for Lincoln's Nana and Papa to get to enjoy with us.

On Sunday Ed and Jeremy went to a San Francisco Giant's game. Someday Lincoln will join them for a day at the ball park. It was such a beautiful clear day, and the stadium has a great view...The Giants's actually won too which was an added bonus of course:-)!

As always their visit was too short, but we were thankful for the time we were able to spend with them. We wish they lived closer so we could see them more often. We want to make sure Lincoln gets to know these special people.

Easter (posted a few days late)

Here are a few snapshots of Lincoln's first Easter! We had a great day... went to church in the morning, complete with a brunch and Easter egg hunt. We just watched the egg hunt, but next year Lincoln can participate!

Notice the big boy outfit and real sneakers - his first time wearing them! We had to bust out the cool factor since it was Easter. Yes... they are Air Jordans (hand-me-downs from Auntie Jen).

We didn't get to spend Easter with family, but enjoyed a laid back day just the four of us. Daddy and Lincoln took a nice long nap, Belle watched Homeward Bound, and I actually sat down for a change. And, good news, our meal this holiday was much better than the last! As some of you may remember our Christmas dinner was... well... frozen (surprisingly not bad). This time we made tri-tip, potatoes, and artichokes... yum!

4 Months!!!

Today Lincoln is 4 months old!!! As each month come and goes it seems like time is blazing by us and disappearing into the past. We are continually thankful for the blessing God has given us in this little boy. There are many things we'd like
to write about but for now here are a few of the most recent
pictures of Lincoln we'd like to share with you. Lincoln brings us so much joy
and we hope that these pictures can be an extension of that joy into your life today.
"This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24

A cake to celebrate the occasion
Lincoln loves hanging out with his mommy!
At the end of the day...well, we'll let the picture speak for itself :-)
