A Little Refresher

Yesterday we had a refreshing visit; some friends from Modesto came to see Lincoln and have dinner with us. While we were youth leaders in Modesto, Kelley and Alycia were in April's small group and Linda was a fellow small group leader. It was great to catch up and take a break from our recent routine.

Although we were a little bit nervous about taking Lincoln out for the first time, we decided to go to the Old Spagehti Factory. As you can imagine we were extra careful about his exposure, and luckily Lincoln slept through the whole thing.

Today was another rainy day... so we hung out indoors... again! It was a bit of a lazy Sunday, which turned out great because April was finally able to take a well-deserved nap. As you might notice from the picture...so did Lincoln. We are amazed at how much he can sleep through, whether it is a busy restaraunt or our dog barking right next to him. There is no tip-toeing around needed in our household.

A fun thing this weekend was seeing Lincoln's first real smiles while Jeremy was singing to him. We are pretty sure it wasn't just gas (though he isn't lacking in that area). It seemed to be a real response and it was fun to share the moment together.
We managed to find a few of our baby pictures and thought you might be interested to campare. We think he is a pretty good mixture of both of us. He seems to have April's nose, Jeremy's chin, etc. It will be fun to see his features develop as he gets older.

Okay, April, you were so right about the forehead - look at the little round part on the front. Be encouraged to know that, when my mom curled Jeremy's hair and styled it, you couldn't even really see his forehead through his feathered bangs. :) He is so cute and is such a little jigsaw puzzle of the two of you. Glad you got some rest. I will pray there is much more of that to come. Know that we are praying for you often. We can't wait to see Lincoln again, though we don't know when that will be! Love to you all!
